Agriproducts, Contest highlight Agri-Fair 2019

The display of the agricultural products and the conducts of the different contests would highlight the celebration of the Sandugo Agri-Fair 2019 slated on July 23-26, 2019 to be held at the Bohol Agricultural Promotion Center (B-APC) Grounds, Dao Tagbilaran City.

The following are the programs of the four-day fair:


In the different contests only those Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) who have product display can participate.

Hereunder the different contests and its guidelines and criteria:

SANDUGO AGRI-FAIR 2019 GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA IN DIFFERENT CONTESTS

THEME: “PANGUMA NGA MAY PATIGAYON MAOY YAWE SA KALAMBOAN SA ATONG                                    BANIKANHONLALAWIGAN’G BOL-ANON”

NOTE: Only those contestants from participating LGUs with booth and product display are           accepted to join in the different contests.

July 23-26, 2019

City Hall/B-APC Grounds

  1. 1. Best Booth (LGU exhibitors only)

Guidelines:

  1. All participating LGU’s/exhibitor can join the contest.
  2. Non LGUs can still join/participate as exhibitors but not included in the contest.
  3. The decision of the Board of Judges is final.

     Criteria:

  1. Concept/execution (Design/Harmony/Creativity) —————- 40%
  2. Content/Sustainability/Quality of displayed product ———– 40%
  3. Over-all Impact (total appearance of exhibits) ———————-20%

  1. PINAKA

     Guidelines:

  1. Crops Category
  • Vegetables – (Ampalaya, Upo, Eggplant & Squash)
  • Fruits      –   Jackfruit, Watermelon (red) and Banana in Bunch (Cardava)
  • Rootcrops – Camote and Cassava (any variety)
  • Corn – Young Corn
  • Cacao Pods- ripe/any variety

 

  • July 24, 2019 at 1:00pm to 3:00pm (Submission/judging of Pinaka entries)

Entries must be submitted to the Contest Committee c/o Ms. Abita Perez

Only participating MLGUs with exhibits/booth are qualified to join.

Winning/non-winning entries will be returned to the owner.

  1. Fisheries Category (Bangus& Tilapia)
  • July 25, 2019 at 9am to 10:00am (Submission/ judging of Pinaka Entries)
  • Entries must be submitted to the Contest Committee c/o GlaizaMelecio
  • Only participating MLGUs with exhibits/booth are qualified to join
  • Winning/non-winning entries will be returned to the owner

   Criteria:

  1. Imelda Papin’s Voice Alike

    Guidelines:

  1. Must be a Boholana
  2. Must come from the participating LGU with booth and product display
  3. Must not be a professional singer or became a contestant of any regional and national      singing competitions.
  4. Must sing of Imelda Papin’s songs.
  5. Must bring her own minus one through USB or CD.
  6. Must be at the venue one (1) hour before the start of the contest.
  7. The decision of the board of judges is final.

    Criteria:

Semblance of Imelda Papin’s voice —————————————— 30%

Timing ————————————————————————————– 25%

Diction ————————————————————————————– 25%

Stage Performance ——————————————————————- 10%

    Guidelines:

  1. Must be a Boholano
  2. Must come from the participating LGU with booth and product display

  5. Must bring his own minus one through USB or CD.
  6. Must be at the venue one (1) hour before the start of the contest.
  7. The decision of the board of judges is final.

Diction ————————————————————————————– 25%

  1. Bahalina Drinking Contest (Male & Female Category)

Guidelines:

  1. Drinking bahalina one at a time for both male and female category;
  2. One (1) liter per contestant for male and half liter for female;
  3. Shortest time consumed through knockout system will be declared a winner;
  4. Bahalina will be provided by OPA per contestant;
  5. Contestant must come from participating LGU with booth and product display.
  6. The decision of the board of judges is final.

 

     Criteria:

  1. Speed———————————————————— (100%)

 

  1. Rice Pounding and Winnowing

    Guidelines

  1. Three Contestants for every team must come from participating LGU with booth and product display.
  2. Contestants must bring their own materials like mortar, pestle, winnower and paya.
  3. Only five kilos of palay will be provided by OPA per team.
  4. Contest runs 20 minutes only.
  5. The decision of the board of judges is final.

 

Criteria:

  1. Quality of pounded rice (Purity and Cleanliness) —————— 30%
  2. Recovery of rice grains ——————————————————– 30%
  3. Timeliness ————————————————————————– 40%

Pounding Recovery Table

3.5 kg to 3.0 = 30%

2.9kg to 2.0 = 25%

1.9 kg to 1 = 20%

Below 1kg = 15%

 

  1. 7. Coconut Dehusking and Grating

Guidelines:

  1. Contestant must come from the participating LGU with booth and product display.
  2. Contestant must bring his own materials like grater, basin and bolo.

3.Two (2) coconuts per contestant will be provided by OPA per contestant.

  1. The first to finish will be the winner.
  2. The decision of the board of judges is final.

     Criteria:

  1. Cleanliness of grated coconut. (absence of husk and other materials) ———- 50%
  2. Timeliness ————————————————————————————————— 50%

 

  1. Bangus Deboning (female category)

      Guidelines:

  1. Contestant must come from the participating LGU with booth and product display.
  2. Contestant must bring his/her own materials like forceps, knife and chopping board.
  3. Only one (1) bangus and water will be provided by per contestant OPA.
  4. Not to exceed 5 minutes. Two percent will be deducted from the over all total for

every excess of one minute.

  1. The decision of the board of judges is final.

Criteria:

  1. Highest number of bones extracted ——————————————— 40%
  2. Timeliness ———————————————————————————- 20%
  3. Appearance remains intact ———————————————————40%

  1. Tilapia Cleaning and Filleting

Guidelines:

  1. Contestant must come from the participating LGU with booth and product display.
  2. Contestant must bring his/her own materials like knife and chopping board.
  3. Only five (5) pcs. of tilapia and water will be provided by OPA per contestant.
  4. Not to exceed 5 minutes. Two percent will be deducted from the total percentage

Garnered for every excess of one minute.

  1. The decision of the Board of Judges is final.

     Criteria:

  1. Appearance must be intact ———————————————————– 40%
  2. Absence of entrails and scales ——————————————————- 30%
  3. Timeliness ————————————————————————————- 30%

Focal Persons for the coming DA TienDA is conducting a preparatory meeting today, August 8, 2018 at Panda Tea Garden Suites, this city purposely to finalize all activities for the coming big days. GIVING CREDITS. Exequiel Bahalla, President-Japonica Rice Growers Association in Bohol (extreme right) expresses thanks and appreciation to the Korea Program of International Agriculture (KOPIA) officials and the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) for bringing to the province Japonica Rice and its technology and for giving farm facilities to the association.
