First agri caravan in 2018 benefits Sevilla barangay
Barangay Bayawahan in the town of Sevilla is the first beneficiary this year of the continued implementation of medical-dental handover and agri caravan in line with the Countryside Development Program-Purok Power Movement (CDP-PPM) of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh).
Barangay folks welcome the service-oriented event on January 12, 2018 at the school gym of Bayawahan National High School.
Received from the PGBh through Rene Makinano who represented Gov. Chatto were seven carabaos through the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV); eight plastic tables, 20 plastic chairs, 50 bolos, 15 sacks of corn seeds, 400 packs of assorted vegetable seeds, fruit seedlings, 120 coconut seedlings through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) and 240 food packs through the Office of Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWD).
Receiving the items were Punong Barangay Antonio Cutin and Sevilla Mayor Juliet Dano.
Other free services given were medical/dental from the Governor’s Office – Medical Outreach Unit (MOU), Provincial Health Office (PHO), and Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Sevilla; animal deworming (OPV); circumcision, haircut and massage from the 302nd Infantry (achiever) Brigade and 47th Infantry (Karapatan) Battalion HQ, 31D, PA.
Makinano also administered the oath-taking of the Sectoral Working Committee Volunteers organized by the PGBh through the iProTeam (Prosperity Team) to help the barangay in the maintenance of peace and order in the puroks.
He lauded the Municipal Local Government Unit of Sevilla headed by Mayor Dano and barangay government under Captain Cutin in supporting the CDP-PPM and the plans and programs of the PGBh.
Makinano informed the barangay folks about the several achievements and awards received by the PGBh.
Mayor Dano and Captain Cutin thanked Gov. Chatto to include barangay Bayawahan in the CDP-PPM.
The PGBh has been conducting Medical/Dental Outreach and Agri Caravan to more than 70 barangays in Bohol of which the municipal and barangay officials thanked the provincial government who helped them in the development of the countryside.
