Nominations for SUHID 2018 now accepted – OPA

The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) is now accepting nominations from municipalities in Bohol for the different categories of the “SUHID sa Malampusong Mag-uumang Bol-anon Search 2018.”

Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Larry M. Pamugas, SUHID co-chairperson of the Technical Working Group (TWG) said the OPA has sent letters with the lists of categories and corresponding prizes to the municipal mayors and municipal agriculturists in the province inviting them to submit their nominations and the deadline is set not later than May 30, 2018.

The different categories of the SUHID and its corresponding prizes: Outstanding Young Farmer – P5,000; Outstanding Young Fisherfolk – P5,000; Outstanding Young Farmer Association – P15,000; Rice Farmer (Adopting Integrated Farming) – P10,000; Corn Farmer (Adopting Integrated Farming) – P10,000; Organic Agriculture Practitioner Farmer – P10,000; Fisherfolk (Freshwater Fishponds) – P10,000; Fisherfolk Association – P15,000; Farm Family – P10,000; Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council (MAFC) – P15,000; Farmers’ Association – P15,000; Rural Improvement Club (RIC) – P15,000; Most Outstanding Rice-Duck Farmer – P10,000; Municipal Agriculturist/ Agricultural Officer – P5,000; Rice Technician – P5,000; Corn Technician – P5,000; HVCDP Technician – P5,000; High Value Commercial Crop Farmer (Fruit) – P10,000; Fishery Technician – P5,000; High Value Commercial Crop Farmer (Vegetable) – P10,000; Most Outstanding Japonica Rice Farmer – P10,000; Outstanding Hybrid Rice Farmer – P10,000; Outstanding Organic Agriculture Farmers Group – P15,000; Outstanding Fisherman – Fish Capture – P5,000; Outstanding Cassava Farmer – P5,000; Outstanding Banana Farmer – P5,000; Outstanding Agri-enterprise for Fishery –P15,000; Outstanding Ka-ABAG – P5,000; Outstanding Agri-enterprise for Crops – P15,000.

The technical working group will set dates for evaluation as soon as Eleno L. Evangelista, focal person of SUHID collates the nominations.

The awarding of winners is slated in July 2018 during the Sandugo Agri-Fair program.
